Country singer Kree Harrison sang the Janis Joplin classic 'Piece of My Heart' on 'American Idol' Wednesday night (April 3), once again earning universal accolades from the judging panel with her poise and powerful vocal delivery.

Harrison has been a standout since the the first time she stepped on the 'Idol' stage, choosing a series of unique songs and delivering them with a seemingly effortless grace and power. Her rendition of the Joplin song certainly had power, but she also demonstrated a control that differentiated her rendition from the original.

"I feel like the show finally started," Randy Jackson said, referring to a couple of earlier, weaker performances from other contestants. "I love seeing this blues side of you. This girl can sing!"

Mariah Carey agreed. "You have an innate ability to choose your songs, and that's part of what makes an artist," she said, adding that she could already see Harrison being heavily involved in choosing her own material for the record she's going to make.

When Keith Urban asked why Harrison had seemed to hold back a little bit, she admitted that she was performing with a pinched nerve, earning even more respect from the judges and audience.

"That was magnificent," Nicki Minaj gushed. "You would get all 50 of my votes right now."

Afterward, the singer said she felt good about her performance. "Even though I'm in a lot of pain, I feel like maybe I pulled it off," she said backstage.

Harrison will learn her fate on the results show Thursday night (April 4).
