Everything You Need to Know About the KOOL Summer Splash

We are certainly hoping and praying it won't be raining Saturday because the plan is to gather around Buffalo Springs Lake's Meadow Stage and dance to Element. Should it rain, we'll just be moving the concert across the street to The Cantina inside the Buffalo Springs Lake Amphitheater.

You can bring cans, juice boxes, etc. But absolutely no glass allowed at the lake!

Coolers containing snacks, beverages, etc. are fine to bring into Buffalo Springs Lake. (Just remember, no glass!) There will also be food vendors at the event.

This is important. Make sure you bring enough cash to get you into Buffalo Springs Lake. It costs $8 if you're 12 years old and up and $3 for 5-11 year-old boys and girls. Kids under 5 years old get in for free. In honor of Armed Forces Day, any person with a valid military ID will get into Buffalo Springs Lake free. Otherwise, regular gate admission applies.

It's been rainy on the South Plains lately and we are so thankful for that. But that does bring out the insects. Make sure you bring plenty of insect repellent so you can relax and enjoy the evening with getting bit, stung and otherwise annoyed.

Bring your family and friends and come have a blast kicking off summer with us!

Bring your chairs or blankets so you will have a place to sit and relax.

We'll be getting the party started at the Sonic at 64th and Frankford starting at 4 p.m. Then we'll have a car cruise with the Caprock Classic Car Club out at the lake to kick things off closer to 6 p.m.

Buffalo Springs Lake's Marina will be open and serving food and alcohol for the KOOL Summer Splash. Please do not bring your own alcohol. A TABC ordinance means people cannot bring their alcohol to certain parts of the area.

Last but not least, Element will have everybody dancing to the best R&B and Funk from the 70s and 80s! It's a free concert with your paid gate admission to Buffalo Springs Lake.
