Lonestar 99.5 FM was visited by Kristin Goodspeed from KLBK's Trends & Friends to talk about the exciting Insane Inflatable 5K hitting Lubbock Saturday, March 14.

Jacqui Neal and Doug Brannson chatted a bit with Kristin about the upcoming race that happens at the Burl Huffman Athletic Complex. The Insane Inflatable 5K features 11 giant obstacles spread out over a 3.1-mile course.

It's the first time the event, which travels all across the country, will hit the Hub City.

"We are so excited, Lubbock and West Texas have never seen anything like this before," said Jacqui. "You don't have to be a runner, you don't have to be a premier athlete, they encourage costumes, just bring your friends and family and come out and have a blast."

Registration is still open, but prices go up on race day. Spectators are invited and can hang out for free, so bring your family and friends along to cheer you on.

"The whole thing is going to be a blast watching people," said Doug.

The Insane Inflatable 5K kicks off at 9 a.m. at the Burl Huffman Athletic Complex, located at North Loop 289 & Landmark Dr. in Lubbock.
