Kenny Chesney Starts a Benefit Fund in Honor of Those Affected by Boston Marathon Bombings
Kenny Chesney has set of the ‘Spread the Love Fund’ for all of those who have been affected by the Boston Marathon bombings. This, again, is why I love Country music and their artists. No one is above doing anything and everyone is humble, gracious, and giving.
The ‘Spread the Love Fund’ will work with Boston Medical Center to help pay for prosthetics, physical therapy and additional care needed.
This is cool! As far as most emergencies or tragedies go, everyone jumps in to help INITIALLY, but this fund will still be around a year from now helping those still in recovery and physical therapy for their injuries. I know the set backs of surgeries and rehabilitation are long felt, so this fund is a very touching thing. Kenny you rock!
On CountryWeekly.com, Kenny says:
“It’s hard to imagine a world where taking your children to school, going to the movies or witnessing something as iconic as the Boston Marathon is a dangerous thing to do,” Kenny says. “For me, I want to help give these people as much of their lives back as possible, but I’d also like to counteract some of the negativity in the world . . . Remind people that there are more good people out there, and it’s up to us to ‘Spread the Love.’”
To help keep funds coming, all proceeds from the download sales of Kenny’s song ‘Spread the Love, which features the Wailers Band, will go towards this fund! This track is from his new album and Blake and I both strongly encourage you to download at least this one song if not the entire album!
Come on! You’ll get great music and get to feel good about helping someone, too! To donate, visit the Spread the Love website!
