With just weeks until the launch of his Brothers of the Sun Tour with pal Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney has wrapped rehearsals for the all-arena outing. The country entertainer feels confident and prepared to take the stage show on the road, and admits the tour has been anything but a rushed project.

“We hadn’t even finished last year’s tour when we started working on this year, and what we visualized nine months ago is a reality today,” Chesney shares proudly (quote via Sony Music Nashville).

Rehearsals aside, Chesney understands the importance of remaining in spectacular physical shape with such a demanding schedule. In a recent interview with Men’s Health magazine, the 44-year-old singer talks about the strict regiment that keeps him trim and toned. “I’ve never abused my body with drugs,” Chesney admits. “I’ve never smoked. But I will say that I’ve probably been overserved a lot. You can’t spend 19 years on the road and not have a few drinks.”

Spirits aside, the singer never picks up the salt shaker — at least in the past 10 years — and hasn’t even had bread “in a while.”

“You think you’re sprinting on this treadmill,” says Chesney, talking about his high-energy stage shows. “When I’m up there it’s like I’m at a constant sprint at a 15 level. But the thing you have onstage that you don’t have in the gym is adrenaline.”

With all the lighting and visuals timed perfectly — and all final tweaks made — an enthusiastic Chesney is ready to kick the party off the right way. “It’s the fans that make this all happen and we’re ready to let this show loose on you,” says the ‘Come Over‘ singer.”We’ve rehearsed and our bags are packed, so get your tailgating ready and we’ll see you in the parking lots and in the stadiums all summer long.”

The Brothers of the Sun Tour begins June 2 in Tampa, Fla., just weeks before the release of Chesney’s upcoming studio album, ‘Welcome to the Fishbowl,’ out June 19. The new project features the ‘Feel Like a Rock Star’ duet with McGraw, as well as the new single, ‘Come Over.’ Click here to learn more about the tour and upcoming album.
