The little dog that starred alongside Judy Garland and several others, Toto, is making big headlines. At least that's the case in the Kansas legislature. State Rep. Ed Trimmer has introduced a bill to make that dog breed--Cairn Terrier--the official dog of the state of Kansas.

That was the breed of dog that Toto was in that famous movie, "The Wizard of Oz". And the legislator tells The Wichita Eagle that he knows Kansas faces serious issues and expects to "get barked at" by colleagues and hopes they won't spend too much time on the issue.

The character played by the dog is memorable for the movie which is  set in Kansas. Here's Judy Garland singing a timeless classic with a little help from Toto.
