The Red Raiders could not find that run to keep things close against #10 Kansas, as they did in their first two conference games against Oklahoma State and #4 Baylor. Kansas just rolled to an 81-46 win.

At the start of the game Tech was staying with the Jayhawks but then after a couple of flagrant fouls, a technical foul and the ejection of Tech's Terran Pettaway, it seemed all the air went out of Tech's balloon.

Tech couldn't seem to muster anything. Only one Red Raider finished scoring in double figures. Bean Willis had 12 points.

Tech only hit one 3 point shot and that came from Luke Adams who came off the bench and hit the trey at the 3:31 mark in the 2nd half.

For the third straight year Tech has lost it's first three conference games. They now stand at 7-8 overall and 0-3 in the Big 12.

Fans are just going to have to be patient and continue to support this team. They are very young, with one senior and the rest of the starting lineup consisting of two freshman, a sophmore and a junior.

Coach Gillispie won't let this team get down and will continue to have them play hard and compete. Before you know it, it will all come together for this team.

The Red Raiders will go to College Station to play the Texas A&M Aggies this Saturday at 12:30pm.

Coach Gillispie being the former coach for the Aggies, you know the fans and the Aggies will sky high for this one.
