Joy And Disappointment In The United Spirit Arena

Valentines day hit in a big way at the Texas Tech/Texas A&M basketball game last night in the United Spirit Arena. Although the Red Raider lost to the Aggies, two people had something to celebrate.

Peyton Aufill and Riley Trotter were being honored for their support and commitment to Red Raider basketball. They haven't missed a Texas Tech basketball game in over 7 years.

They sit next to each other and those seats were dedicated to them. You can see them and Lady Raider and Red Raider games on the south end of the arena.

After the acknowledgment, Peyton fell to one knee and totally surprised Riley with a ring. The crowd went wild and of course she said yes.

What else was neat , the whole thing took place on the giant double T at center court.
