2018 has already been a big year for country star Josh Abbott. He married the love of his life, is raising a baby and is gearing up for another JAB Fest. But it's about to get bigger.

The West Texas Walk of Fame announced Tuesday its inductees for 2018, which includes Abbott and several other big names from West Texas. This is well deserved and we couldn't be happier for his growing success.

Abbott shared a real sense of accomplishment as he and the band have evolved through the years during a recent phone conversation when he announced the line up for JAB Fest. We were very excited to hear about all of his future plans as well.

From the West Texas Walk of Fame:

Singer/songwriter Josh Abbott was raised in Idalou, Texas. He attended South Plains College and graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Communications in 2005. Josh began writing songs in 2004, but he actually picked up the guitar a few years earlier to strum along with his favorite Pat Green songs. In 2006, while pursuing his Masters at Texas Tech, he formed the Josh Abbot Band. In 2007, the first demo, “Taste” was recorded and he, along with his band, began touring around Texas in 2008. A decade later, with millions of records sold, success on the regional and national charts and six albums to his credit, lead singer/acoustic guitarist Josh Abbott has become one of the biggest household names in Texas country history. In 2011, the Josh Abbot Band won Song of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year and Video of the Year at the Texas Regional Music Radio Awards. The 2015 album Front Row Seat debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Independent Albums Chart following its release. While he still tours extensively in Texas, he has also performed in venues on the West Coast as well as New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas Nebraska and Illinois.

Vocalist and musician Donnie Allison (RIP), singer/songwriter Bob Livingston and sculptor Garland A. Weeks will also be inducted into the West Texas Walk of Fame at a ceremony held on October 3rd, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas.

Congratulations to all the 2018 inductees.
