Everyone who dreams of seeing their names up in lights could only HOPE to get as big as Josh Abbott Band is getting! (and I’m not just saying that because he’s from my hometown!)

Josh Abbott Band is one of the leading Texas Country Acts leading the way for others to come so that people across the nation will take this genre seriously and respectfully, as it should be.

So when asked about a famous career in music, you might think a big act would say he hopes to keep it going as long as possible, but not Josh. He takes a more realistic look at it and for that, he’s gained more of my respect.

“I think everything in life is a bell curve, whether it’s the life of your car or the career of a music singer trying to make it in country music, once you hit the top, it’s a downhill struggle to maintain what you are doing. You are always slamming your feet on the brakes so as to not go down that hill too fast. As far as I’m concerned, as long as we are still going up that hill, I’m happy.”
