I found myself in North Carolina back in October. And while I was there, I also found some really famous cars that I want to show you.

A little background on me first. Like many people, I am a fan of NASCAR, but I do it differently. I view NASCAR the same way I view the NFL: I love watching it, but I don't have a favorite team or driver. That way no matter who wins or loses I can have a blast watching! Its like I always win, because no matter what my team never loses.

Back to my original story. I was wandering around Raleigh, North Carolina looking for some historical stuff because I'm also a bit of a Civil War nerd.

So I walked through this 200 year old cemetery with a bunch of Civil War graves there. Then I headed downtown to look at the capital city's old buildings. I even got to pee in the capital building itself, which was built in the 1830s!

A block or so from there was the North Carolina Museum of History. They were having a huge Civil War display, so, since it's a museum and free, I walked in to check it out.

Lo and behold, right there by the front doors were two of the most famous race cars in NASCAR history: Dale Earnhardt's no. 3, and Ricky Bobby's no. 26 Wonder Bread car!

Oh, and upstairs I found Richard Petty's STP no. 43, too.
