Hi, y'all - I'm Jan, and I'm the new afternoon deejay on Lonestar 99.5 FM in Lubbock, Texas. Before we meet on the radio, I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself.

I lo-oove country music and keeping you company on the radio. I know that country fans are what makes it all so great.

Two-stepping, horses, rodeos and ranch life make me happy.

Close to the land, made from scratch, and homegrown are words to live by and keeping it authentic and from the heart are what it's all about. I have worked with rescue horses and what they gave back was immeasurable.

My daughter, who is studying Animal Sciences at college, is top priority in my life. I hold her and my family, including my dog Bella and cat Oliver, dear to my heart always.

I've written a novel that I'm working to have published. It's a country song in a book and I love it.

In my spare time I enjoy; riding, grooming and mucking the horse stalls, photography, cross-stitch, making biscuits, western movies and books, exploring Lubbock and staying in touch with and helping the community.

I believe in God, family, our country and our incredible Texas spirit!

You can listen to me on the air or online every weekday from 2 to 7 p.m.
