Jake Owen made his television debut on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' last year, and since then, his career has skyrocketed. Owen returned to Fallon's stage on Thursday (Aug. 8) to debut his brand new single 'Days of Gold' in an electrifying performance.

'Days of Gold' is the lead single from Owen's highly-anticipated studio album of the same name, and if the song is any indication of the album's caliber, fans will be in for a real treat when the full-length record hits stores on Dec. 3.

Owen is always a perfect mix of great vocals, a relaxed attitude and a whole lot of fun. He looked completely comfortable onstage at 'Fallon' in a white embellished shirt and jeans, and of course, it wouldn't be an Owen performance without his mega-watt smile, which was spread across his face the entire time.

The 31-year-old didn't disappoint with his uptempo, completely catchy single. Everyone in the band bought their A-game, from the harmonica player to the fantastic electric guitar solo and Owen's own energetic presence. You just can't help but tap your feet and join in on the energetic "heys" that the singer and his band brought to the stage.

The audience got into 'Days of Gold,' as they clapped and danced -- and who wouldn't? It's the perfect song for busting a move or two -- or twenty. When the band finished the song with a bang, Fallon hopped onstage, yelling enthusiastically, "Jake Owen! You rocked it! Oh my goodness!"

That pretty much sums up his performance!

The 'Barefoot Blue Jean Night' hitmaker -- who has clearly mostly recovered from his surgery -- has everyone excited with this new single, and for good reason. We can't wait to hear what else he has in store.
