Authorities followed the footprints--'tracks'--and realized they probably weren't made by a human. Sounds like the start to a bad movie, huh? It was actually during the investigation of a break-in at the public library in Deadwood, South Dakota Sunday morning. Thinking at first a snow-blower had thrown a rock through the window, investigators then found 20-pound wing-flapping wild turkey. So, he was either thrown by the snow-blower or just happened along after the rock made the hole in the window and crawled in. Probably he was thrown in by the machine, but they say he wasn't hurt, just  a bit frightened.  Who wouldn't be? Police Sergeant Ken Mertens told the Black Hills Pioneer, "That turkey wanted back out that hole." He says he and several others spent about twenty minutes chasing it, finally throwing a blanket over its head. Turkeys can read? Who knew?
