My husband and I were running our errands Saturday, in light of the upcoming cold front.

We were in good company! The traffic was Black Friday heavy and the lines at local retailers and grocers was ridiculous!

I know we are getting close to Thanksgiving, but I don't think the shopping we saw was for the Turkey Day meal.

Coats, hats, gloves and scarves were flying off of the shelves of local retailers and grocery store patrons had baskets full of water, chili and stew fixin's and firewood.

Yes, we may experience our first freeze tonight and temps will stay cold for the rest of the work week, with possible snow flurries this weekend, but I doubt it will be a Donner Party type blizzard.  Nonetheless, we definitely took the time to bring our winter underwear and outerwear into our house from our store room, just in case.
