When I was younger my mom made me go to a a few small churches here in Lubbock, TX. If you went to a small church too, this will take you back there.

The one thing I always remembered about every small church I ever went to was how bad the choir was. Now, I don't mean that there were bad people in it. I just remember that with a much smaller talent pool to pull from, you took what you could get. And then you paid the price for it.

First you have the piano player who always plays WAY too fast. She was always kind of bossy too, and thought that her job was to praise Jesus louder than everybody else. And don't EVER critique her piano playing or Satan has possessed you and you deserve a butt bustin' straight out of the Exorcist.

Then the singers, who usually sing too slow, can't keep up with the piano player on Jesus speed, and you get what we have here. A man who seemingly doesn't know the words to the song he's singing.

Well he might not know the words, but she is still playing too fast for him. Then you have the guy, or gal, who always wants to solo, but can't remember the words to the songs.

Or the one singer who is always off by like a half step or so, but who always sings louder than everybody else so that all anyone can hear is the one off key singer.

Small churches will always have a place in my heart, mainly for the horrible choirs I've had to endure. God might be listening, but I bet he sometimes turns the volume down.

P.S. the subtitles are the funniest thing I've seen in a long time!
