You bring your friends. We'll handle the beer. One of Lubbock's best new events of 2016 returns for round 2 this summer with Hub City On Tap, presented by the Market Street Craft Beer Club.

Dozens of brewers will crack open cold ones on Saturday, August 26 at the South Plains Fair Park Coliseum. It's the same spot as last year, but with more beer, more food and more space. This year's Hub City On Tap event will be in not one, but two buildings.

Even better, we're giving early birds a special discount on their tickets. If you buy your general admission tickets online before June 12, you'll get 'em for $20 a pop. Homer Simpson would approve.

After that, prices will go up:

  • $25 from June 12th through August 20th
  • $30 from August 21st through August 25th
  • $35 on August 26th

Even better: There are a couple group ticket options if you're planning to bring along some drinking buddies and like saving money.

Hub City On Tap is broken down into three separate sessions: A special VIP limited attendance session from Noon – 4 p.m., a general admission session from 1 – 4 p.m. and a general admission session from 5 – 8 p.m.

General admission attendees will receive 8 samples of beer (with more available for purchase) and a souvenir glass.

VIP ticket holders will have a four-hour session (noon to 4 p.m.) with 12 samples of beer and a souvenir glass. They'll also gain exclusive access to Market Street's VIB area, where they'll get to chill out and eat some excellent free grub.

The Panhandle South Plains Fair Coliseum is located at 8th Street and Avenue A in Lubbock, Texas.
