It was a great weekend for the Texas Tech baseball team. Not only getting their first conference sweep of Kansas State, but doing so in the dismantling fashion that they did when they outscored the Wildcats 56-16.

It was especially a great weekend for sophomore outfielder Grant Little as he was awarded the Big 12 Player Of The Week by the conference on Monday morning. This was his first accolade of the season and the second of his career.

Little, racked up nine hits in 18 at-bats over the four game week, which included two doubles and two homers. He had a career day on Friday against K-State, going 4-5 with two home runs, including his first career grand slam, which resulted in a 9 RBI night for Little, tying the school record.

Little and the Red Raiders hit the road to take on the New Mexico Lobos on Tuesday, April 17, at 2 p.m. CDT at Santa Star Field in Albuquerque.
