Garth Brooks is slowly winding down his World Tour, but fans in Louisiana are getting one final chance to see him in concert. The superstar and wife Trisha Yearwood have announced a concert in Lafayette in June.

Brooks will bring his massive tour to Lafayette's Cajundome for a performance on Saturday, June 24. The gig marks his first concert performance in that market in 25 years and it will serve as the last show of this tour for audiences in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi.

Tickets for the show in Lafayette are set to go on sale Friday, May 12 at 10AM CDT exclusively via Ticketmaster or by calling Ticketmaster Express at 1-866-448-7849 or 1-800-745-3000. There will be an eight-ticket limit per purchase, and no ticket sales will take place at the venue box office or Ticketmaster outlets on May 12. All seats will cost a total of $74.98.

What Is Country Music? Garth Says ...

Brooks kicked off the tour at the end of 2014 in conjunction with the release of Man Against Machine, his first new studio album in a decade. It marked his return to the road after a decade-plus of semi-retirement, and the tour has been selling multiple nights in many of the markets it plays.

Brooks released his most recent album, Gunslinger, in November of 2016, and the album's first single, "Baby, Let's Lay Down and Dance," reached No. 15 on Billboard's U.S. Country Airplay Chart. The second single from the album, "Ask Me How I Know," is a big, emotional ballad that Brooks is hopeful will have a huge impact on the career of songwriter Mitch Rossell.

“‘Ask Me How I Know’ is I think gonna be — ‘More Than a Memory’ for Lee Brice? I’m hoping that’s gonna be it for him because he’s a sweet guy and we need to hear his music,” Brooks tells Taste of Country.

Brooks and Yearwood plan to wrap the North American leg of their tour in 2017 with a final show in Nashville before turning their attention to some overseas dates. The show in Nashville has not yet been announced.
