Fried bugs and Cricket cookies are on the menu. The whole family will enjoy this free event at the Science Spectrum and Omni Theater this Saturday, November 12th in the Exhibit Hall.

The Taste of Science Event explores the science behind the food we eat. This is much more than recipes and not your usual fare.

The Science Spectrum, together with the South Plains Food Bank and Texas Tech Department of Food Science & Nutrition present a hands-on food science demonstration, with some very curious food choices.

FREE activities include: making butter, meeting local farmers, understanding Astronaut food, a life-size game of Hungry, Hungry Hippos, a new farm petting zoo, and a taste of fried bugs and cricket cookies.

Plus you can purchase a ride  on a Bucking Cow Train and items from other vendors are also available for purchase.
