If she had lived, Lucille Ball would be 100 years old today. She will always be remembered as the dizzy redhead in the very popular TV sitcom in the 50′s “I Love Lucy.”

Ball actually starred in movies way before TV, like “Stage Door” with Katherine Hepburn.

Lucille Ball married Desi Arnez in 1940 and they would star in the t.v. sitcom “I Love Lucy”starting in 1950. It is still shown in syndication today.

Ball would also become the first woman to head up her own film studio at Desilu. She died on April 26th, 1989.
