Eli Young Band Has a New Single Coming Very Soon [Interview]

As we ramped up for the great big Hub City Country Jam Friday night (April 27) at Fair Park Coliseum, Lonestar 99.5 had the opportunity to talk to Chris Thompson from the Eli Young Band. What a great conversation we had!

It's really exciting to learn there is a new single on the way AND that we may be hearing Friday night.

"We're gonna have a new single out here probably in the next month or so. We're excited to get more stuff on the radio," he told me.

They're still crossing t's and dotting i's on the new song, so Chris couldn't make any promises that they'll play it live in Lubbock.

"We've been rehearsing the song, we haven't played it live yet, but we've been rehearsing one of the songs for about a month now in sound checks and whatnot, and we've been talking about doing it live, so this may be the weekend," he said.

Chris also talked about the band taking a little break from touring due to bandmate James Young and wife recently welcoming a happy, healthy baby girl. Lubbock is the first to welcome them back out on the road, so we have a lot to look forward to.
