Dustin Lynch says his 2016 CMA Awards date is going to make him look good!

The "Seein' Red" singer shares that he invited his mom to Wednesday night's (Nov. 2) 50th Annual CMA Awards. She's got her outfit picked out already and, "She's gonna make me look amazing!"

Lynch will wear a bow tie as he walks the red carpet and sits for the show. He tells Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex that he invited his mom to be his date by sending flowers to where she works. She loved it!

“And then I got a call from my dad, and he didn’t love it," Lynch says. "Because he officially can never top that. I put him in the dog house pretty quick with that one.”

So, as Lynch and Mom enjoy the glitz and glam of country music's biggest night, Dad will be watching from a bar down the road. Lynch isn't scheduled to perform or present on Wednesday, so the pair will just be able to enjoy the show.

Musically he shares that his new album is tentatively scheduled for an early 2017 release, pending him finishing it. "Seein' Red" is indicative of the project as it will be a sexier album than he's released before. It will still be a reflection of where he's at in life, and his last two years.

The 2016 CMA Awards begin at 8PM ET on ABC. Taste of Country will be live streaming from the red carpet beginning at 5:30PM ET.
