In November, the Dixie Chicks announced that they would be heading out on a North American tour for the first time in a decade, and although that trek has yet to begin, the country trio has already added more dates to it.

Natalie MainesMartie Maguire and Emily Robison have added nine additional shows to their DCX MMXVI World Tour, all in September. The new concerts have been added following solid ticket sales for the previously announced dates.

"The ticket sales have been ridiculous," Simon Renshaw, manager of the Dixie Chicks, told Billboard in December. "[Good enough that] we will extend the U.S. tour."

Renshaw adds, "We put a show up in Minneapolis and demand was so high we added a second show, and that sold out in a couple of hours. In Dallas, they sold like 20,000 tickets, and the girls were like, 'Really, Dallas?' In Houston, it's like 16,000 tickets."

The Chicks are currently touring Europe before beginning their stateside dates on June 1 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The group had previously said that they weren’t sure if they’d be welcome to perform on American soil, given the response after Maines’ comments about then-President George W. Bush in 2003.

A complete list of all of the Dixie Chicks' North American DCX MMXVI World Tour dates is below. Pre-sale access for new shows (Sept. 8-24) will be available for MMXVI Tour Club members beginning on May 3 at 10AM local time, and for Citi cardholders beginning on May 4 at 10AM local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on May 7; more information can be found on the group's website.

Just in time for the tour, the Dixie Chicks released four of their hit albums on vinylWide Open Spaces, Fly, Home and Taking the Long Way have all been remastered for the releases and are available on Amazon.
