Arizona native Dierks Bentley is heading to his home state, but it’s not for rest and relaxation; he’s headlining the Country Cares Concert, a show which will benefit the Granite Mountain Hotshots who passed away in last week’s wildfires.

The concert, booked at Tim’s Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Ariz. on July 22. will raise money for the families of the 19 firefighters who tragically lost their lives in the devastating fires. Fifty-one children were left without fathers in the wake of the tragedy, and Bentley is taking the stage to help them heal through the power of music.

“I want to help honor the memory of these 19 brave firefighters, to be part of the healing process for the community and to raise money for the families left behind,” the singer says. “I was and still am devastated by this tragic event in my home state. I certainly can’t imagine what these families are enduring, but I do believe in the healing power of music and hope as many Arizonans as possible can come out and be part of this event.”

The ‘Bourbon in Kentucky’ hitmaker has two little girls and one baby boy on the way, so this horrific loss impacts him in a deeply personal way.

Tickets for the event will go on sale Friday (July 12) at KMLE Country and at Tim’s Toyota Center box office, and the proceeds of tickets to the concert and special VIP packages will go to the United Phoenix Firefighters Charities, who will distribute directly to the families of the 19 fallen firefighters.

The Grammy-nominated singer will certainly make an impact on the families of these heroes through his music and the proceeds. Hopefully, with the support of community the families will begin finding healing and hope amidst this heartbreaking tragedy.
