Even rising stars like Danielle Bradbery can struggle with stage fright!

Since becoming the youngest person to win NBC’s ‘The Voice’ in 2013, Bradbery has sung in front of thousands of fans and opened up for some of country’s biggest stars, like Brad Paisley. But the future superstar admits that up until just a few years ago, she struggled with crippling stage fright.

“Stage fright was something I didn’t think I could get over,” says the 17-year-old singer, “[but] once I got into ‘The Voice’ … I felt like something just clicked on and being in the spotlight and having the cameras — something felt comfortable about that. Once I started singing, all the fear went away.”

Bradbery of course credits her ‘Voice’ coach Blake Shelton with helping her feel comfortable and confident on stage.

“Blake was kind of somebody I fell back on and he was really supportive if I got nervous,” she says. “While I was singing I’d just kind of look at him, and he’d be either moving with the song, [or] had a big smile on his face … and that just made me feel good knowing I can make Blake Shelton proud.”

Bradbery definitely has the ‘Austin’ hitmaker in her court, along with a few other country greats. Not only have Shelton and wife Miranda Lambert offered themselves as mentors to the sweet songstress, but the one and only Taylor Swift has also given her some great advice on how to have fun as she furthers her career.

Country’s newest sweetheart currently has a bonafide hit on her hands with her debut single ‘The Heart of Dixie.’ Up next, she’s joining Hunter Hayes as a special guest on his We’re Not Invisible Tour, which kicks off on March 20. With upcoming gigs in front of thousands of screaming Hayes fans, it’s a good thing Bradbery kicked that stage fright long ago!
