According to 5 Points Blue, the Dallas Cowboys will be using a VR headset to help quarterbacks practice and study film.

The report says the QB will wear a headset to see a 360-degree view of their view in practice. They are working with the VR company StriVR Labs for this technology, the company was founded by former Stanford Kicker Derek Belch.

The technology is said to help the backups as much as the starters because they can take "mental reps" and learn at a faster pace. The technology lets you see everything as reality, not recreated images like a video game.

With this technology, you don’t have to just imagine; you see what he sees. With this VR headset, you see real players, not recreated players.

You can read the full report here. It's too early to know if this technology with truly help a QB learn or be better equipped to deal with the speed of the NFL, but it might be a technology we see a lot more of in the future in sports and other lines of work.
