Curious Young Bison at the Caprock Canyons State Park

The bison herd at the canyon was hanging out around the entrance and the lake. There's many young calves this time of the year.This little guy seemed to be more curious than the rest and was coming up to the window until mom seemed to decide it was time to move on.

For a fantastic day trip, head on out to Caprock Canyons State Park. There's amazing scenery, fishing, hiking, biking, sight-seeing, bison and other animals. It's just under 2 hours from Lubbock and a great way to enjoy nature the Texas way.
