Sunday afternoon in Amarillo, a competitive eater from California made quick work of not one, but three 72-ounce steak meals at The Big Texan.

Molly Schuyler devoured three of The Big Texan's 72-ounce steak meals in less than 30 minutes.

KVII-TV in Amarillo, reports Sunday's event, The 72-oz Showdown, featured Schuyler eating against three other teams of eaters. One team featured two pro wrestlers and another with two pro football players.

Bobby Lee, who co-owns the Big Texan, told KVII he's never seen anything like this in the restaurant's history.

"We've been doing this contest since 1960, and in all that time we've never had anybody come in to actually eat that many steaks at one time. So, this is a first for us and after 55 years of it, it's a big deal," he said.

In case you're not familiar with The Big Texan's legendary 72-oz Steak Challenge; it consists of one 72-oz steak, shrimp cocktail, baked potato, salad and roll with butter.

Last year, Schuyler ate two of the 72 oz steak meals in less than 10 minutes.
