For the last 57 years, Lubbock Parks and Recreations has brought Santa Land to Mackenzie Park for all of the young and old children of Lubbock! With live entertainment (most nights), Hot Chocolate and a festive holiday village – grab the family and your camera and enjoy the beautiful display absolutely free!
Santa Land will be open every evening from 6pm – 10pm through Dec. 23rd.
As stated in the description on the Science Spectrum’s website – “The Light Before Christmas is the delightful tale of young Katie and her brother Makean, who, after losing their way in a Christmas eve blizzard, are rescued by the Candleman, a wise, gentle man who invites them to his warm and cozy forest cottage and sparks their imagination with the timeless poem, The Night Before Christmas.”
The Light Before Christmas will run through December 26th at various times.
The youth of the Lubbock Community Theater will perform a production of Twas The Night Before Christmas but it’s a little different than the “original poem”!
The production will take place December 13th at 7:30pm, December 14th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm and December 15th at 2:00pm at The Lubbock Community Theater.
