Chris Young has been forced to re-schedule a concert that was slated to take place on Thursday (Dec. 3) after doctors determined he was too sick to perform.

Young is already 11 dates into his I'm Comin' Over Tour, which kicked off Oct. 22 at the Savannah Civic Center in Savannah, Ga. He was scheduled to perform at the AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn. on Thursday night, but according to a post to his Facebook page, he is simply not well enough to make the date.

"Hey guys, I'm battling a case of strep throat," the singer writes. "I never want to disappoint you, but I've been advised by doctors that I cannot perform today. Tonight’s show in Duluth has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a date in 2016 that will be announced in the next day. All previously purchased tickets will be honored. For those who cannot make the rescheduled date, refunds will be available at point of purchase. Again, I'm really sorry to let you down, but I plan to see you in early 2016. Love you guys!"

It's not yet clear if Young's illness will affect upcoming dates scheduled for Dec. 4 in Rochester, Minn. and Dec. 5 in Green Bay, Wisc., where the current tour is scheduled to wrap.

Young released his fifth studio album, I'm Comin' Over, on Nov. 13, debuting in the top spot on Billboard's Hot Country Albums chart. The project's lead single and title song also spent time at No. 1 recently. The singer-songwriter is set to kick off the extended 2016 leg of the I'm Comin' Over Tour on Jan. 21 in Lowell, Mass., running through Feb. 26 before wrapping up in Baltimore, Md.
