The Texas Tech Red Raider Basketball team has played three Big 12 games and are now undefeated after beating the Kansas State Wildcats 74-58. The team relied on an 18-point halftime lead to put away the Wildcats at home.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders only scored two points in the first six minutes of the second half, while the Wildcats climbed back to within seven before a free throw from Niem Stevenson and a three-pointer from Davide Moretti put the lead back at 11 and woke the Red Raiders up.

That's the second game in a row that a Davide Moretti three-pointer has quelled a comeback attempt by an opponent.

The trey from Moretti was followed by a couple of steals and a jumper from Brandone Francis, who was working hard to get the crowd back into the game. The Wildcats would get the game back down to eight before Keenan Evans would take over scoring or assisting on 20 of the final 34 Red Raider points.

Evans finished with a game high 27.

Jarrett Culver and Zhaire Smith were also big down the stretch.

On the ride home after starting Texas Tech men's basketball's 2017-18 Big 12 season 3-0, Chris Beard celebrated with a Travis Tritt tune.

Please never change, Coach Beard.
