For hours, hundreds stopped for a bite to eat at both locations in Lubbock, among all others across the country, to support Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.

It was deemed so by former Arkansas gov. Mike Huckabee after Chick-fil-A took on mass amounts of criticism for being supportive of the 'biblical definition of a family'.

The words that started this new fire were spoken by Dan Cathy, Chick-fil-A's Chief Executive.

In an interview done by K. Allan Blume, a biblical recorder for the Baptist Press, that was posted to their website, quoted Cathy saying, "We are very much supportive of the family -- the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that."

In response to his statements, gay activists across the nation have called for the people to boycott the restaurant.

Even a small group stood outside of the Slide location to protest and support the boycott on Chick-fil-A.

However, hundreds still lined up in support of Chick-fil-A's right to practice their first amendment rights to oppose same sex marriage.

Where do you stand on this matter?
