Changes to Texas Tech Homecoming Parade

A few changes to the Texas Tech parade route have been announced. Check it out!

From Texas Tech:

The 2014 Homecoming Parade will be on Friday, October 17 (weather permitting). The route has also changed to accommodate the new schedule.

The Texas Tech Homecoming Parade will begin at 6:00 pm at the First Baptist Church on 2201 Broadway. It will continue west, crossing University Avenue onto the Texas Tech campus at the main entrance.

The parade will take a left at Akron Avenue just before Memorial Circle and continue towards the Student Union Building. It will curve onto 18th Street at the end of Akron Avenue by Knapp Hall.

The parade will continue west down 18th Street. Small cars will exit campus by turning South onto Flint Ave. and will continue by going west on 19th Street.

Floats will be able to take apart their float in the C-16 Commuter parking lot, West of the United Supermarkets Arena, and then can leave campus on Knoxville Ave. and get onto Texas Tech parkway.
