According to a new study at Baylor University, checking your phone too much could be a sign of depression because you're constantly trying to find something to alter your mood.

Researchers say it's similar to other types of addiction, where you do something to distract yourself so you can forget about things that are stressing you out.

But . . . they ALSO found that people who are PRONE to mood swings are more likely to be addicted to their phones.  So, maybe depressed people just check their phones more often?

The study never says how many times a day is bad, but I'm guess like all addictions, if it's affecting your everyday life or if you can't focus like me in the video, you might have a problem.
