In honor of three quarters of a century of ringing the Victory Bells, you'll be able to hear them once again Monday. And it's kind of sweet since Tech beat New Mexico so bad on the football field Saturday.
Former head football coach at Texas Tech University Mike Leach makes a return visit to Lubbock later this month. He'll have a second signing of his New York Times bestseller book, "Swing Your Sword", at Sam's Club, 4304 W. Loop 289.
Just before the game Saturday there's a big celebration going on in honor of Texas Tech's Masked Rider. Nearly half of Texas Tech's former riders will be present for the event slated for 4 p.m. in Frazier Alumni Pavilion across from Jones AT & T Stadium.
Coming up this weekend is Texas Tech University's 11th Annual "Back to School Fiesta". It'll offer free school supplies, college resources, free food and entertainment. Its an annual event at Tech and is for all ages.

Texas Tech's 32-member cheerleading squad was named Best All-Around Collegiate Squad at the National Cheerleaders Association College Summer Camp on SMU campus in Dallas. In addition, eleven members were named as All-Americans. Raider Red, the Tech mascot, was honored as well, being selected as an All-American Mascot.
When The Texas Tech Student Leisure Pool was built back in 2009, it brought in more than 70,000 visitors. Back in 2006, students had their student rec fees increased $10 per semester which makes the pool quite a sweet deal....if you use it. And this summer with the 100 degree plus heat it's one of favorite student spots.
Saturday, July 2, is "Take Me Out to the Museum" Baseball Day at the Museum of Texas Tech and it's FREE! The event, for all ages, will be held from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday with no registration required.
