Caprock Canyon Is an Affordable & Fast One-Day Getaway

My wife and I took another trip to one of our favorite places here in West Texas: Caprock Canyon. It's truly a paradise for hikers and people who appreciate the outdoors.

The nice thing is that the canyon is less than a couple hours from Lubbock. We got there, took a long hike and many pictures and got back before sundown.

There are bison, prairie dogs and amazing scenery to take in, with many miles of trails. You can bring horses there, camp overnight and do some mountain biking. There's also a lake for boating, fishing and swimming.

Trust me, it's worth it!
