Does the famous Dallas-based restaurant Campisi's have room to grow beyond the Dallas-Ft. Worth area?

David Campisi told the Dallas Morning News on Tuesday that he believes he can grow the restaurant chain beyond North Texas as long as the new location in Lubbock works out.

Campisi told the Dallas Morning News that he believes the chain can grow from 11 locations (including Lubbock) to 15 locations in just three years.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Lubbock will be Campisi's sixth location since 2011 (roughly one new location a year) and the biggest gamble the company has made so far.

The Lubbock location of Campisi's, located at 82nd and Quaker (old Zio's location), is supposed to open this summer.

What can patrons of Campisi's expect when it opens? If you've ever been to Campisi's in Dallas, you'll find the mood recognizable according to the Dallas Morning News:

The Lubbock site will be modeled in part on the replanted Parker Road location, a prototype that melds wall-to-wall historic black-and-white photos with updated dark wood cabinets to show off the wine collection. The restaurant has a replica of the Egyptian sign and, like the Mockingbird location, offers a midnight mood at high noon.

Expect Campisi's to make a big splash in Lubbock. David Campisi, a 1992 graduate of Texas Tech, knows Lubbock and is pinning the future of his business on success in West Texas.
