Fawn suffered leg injuries at birth when she fell onto the cement, her mother is a Jersey milk cow and she was in the barn at the time.

Instead of putting the calf down, the farmer contacted a neighbor who was looking for a pet cow to take care of.  Fawn would get around by walking on her front knees, but after she continued to grow that became more and more difficult.

Then the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, in Woodstock, NY to her in.  From donations they were able to get her some surgeries and eventually some permanent braces, she has some physical therapy going on now but seems to be living a much more normal life.
