The Academy Award nominations were announced Tuesday and up for best actor against each other are Brad Pitt, for "Moneyball" and his buddy George Clooney for "The Descendants."And how does Brad feel about that? He couldn't be happier, telling Entertainment Weekly.

"It's great fun having a friend in there and if it's not me, then it might as well be him."

Pitt has been nominated for best actor before. In 1995 he received a nod for "Twelve Monkeys" and in 2008 nominated for his work in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

Other actors Pitt and Clooney are up against are Gary Oldman for "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy," Demian Bichir for "A Better Life, " and Jean DuJardin for "The Artist."

The latter, a silent movie, is expected to win big at the Oscars coming up Sunday, Feb. 26, so Pitt and Clooney realistically don't have anything to worry about. Go here for a complete list of the nominees.
