Coming up Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. is "Girl Talk", an event offered at Covenant Health System that could help clear some questions up for girls between the ages of 10-13.

Those girls along with their parents or guardians are invited to hear info on a variety of topics, from physical and emotional changes to communication and self esteem issues. Boys will get to have their own experience of learning at "Boy Talk", set for Thursday, March 8.

These events should really help break down those walls when communicating about sexual issues. One study shows that "40% of adolescents had had intercourse before talking to their parents about safe sex, birth control or sexually transmitted diseases".

Whether or not "Girl Talk" or "Boy Talk" gets into these subjects in depth, medical experts will be on hand at each event for advice on how to talk about them more comfortably. Dinner is provided at each event. For more information, call 1-866-426-8362.
