Blake Shelton took home the night's biggest country music award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (May 21), winning Top Country Artist.

Shelton beat out Florida Georgia Line, Keith Urban, Chris Stapleton and Jason Aldean for the honor. His most recent album, If I'm Honest, scored hit singles with "Came Here to Forget," "A Guy With a Girl," "She's Got a Way With Words" and "Every Time I Hear That Song."

The country superstar and The Voice coach was dressed in a suit as he took the stage to accept the award, giving girlfriend Gwen Stefani a kiss before giving his acceptance speech.

"I had a good feeling," Shelton said. "I felt like I was the luckiest guy in the room anyway, because Gwen is here with me."

"I know this award is based on facts and industry things ... sales and streaming and radio airplay and all that stuff but I think that all kinda comes down to  a fan-voted award if you think about it," he told the crowd. "If it wasn't for the fans we wouldn't have the sales and the ticket sales and airplay. So thank you, fans, first and foremost," he added to the roar of the audience.

Shelton went on to thank country radio and Warner Bros. Records, saying, "I love y'all so much. This is incredible."
