Just minutes after Blake Shelton got a minute in ‘The Voice’ spotlight as a solo performer, bringing the debut of his new single ‘Over’ to our television screens, it was his team’s turn to shine. Jermaine Paul and Erin Willett — along with Team Christina Aguilera‘s remaining two — took the stage to declare that they’re on the ‘Edge of Glory,’ each hoping to find ultra fame as a result of winning the competition.

While the Lady Gaga cover might not have been a perfect fit for Shelton’s former country hopefuls, it worked for his more flexible pop acts, which are all that are still standing in the competition. Paul was actually given the opening line of the song, and that seemed to be a big thrill for the audience, as he was literally the only one in the spotlight — an actual spotlight — as he sang.

While the judges watched from afar, keeping those big red chairs warm, Paul, Willett, Lindsey Pavao and Chris Mann danced across the huge black stage and onto platforms high above the crowd, generally just enjoying the moment — as it could be their last.

Tuesday’s (May 1) episode will determine which one of Team Blake’s two remaining members will ultimately fall over the edge, packing their bags to return home.
