Blake got his allowance privileges taken away for spending all of his money at the records store. He's curious if parents still give out allowances anymore?

Allowances seem to be a thing of the past and bad financial habits seem to belong to most young people. Is there a correlation between the two?

I was reading up on a story on The Today Show's website that was giving tips on how to teach your children good money habits.

After reading it, it made me wonder if one reason why children don't become more financially responsible is because we don't give them money to learn to be responsible for? It's just something for you to ponder over and it has inspired today's Blake Poll!
