The Vermont-based ice cream juggernauts are taking Texas by storm with a four-city tour of "Texas-Churned" flavors.

With Blue Bell reeling from the listeria breakout, Ben & Jerry hope to capitalize on the hot Texas summer to win over new customers.

This week, the Houston Chronicle put out a report that said Blue Bell knew about the listeria problems back in 2013, but didn't fix the problem.

Ben & Jerry's Texas Truck Tour" will be going from now until August 14 and will hit Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio.  They'll be asking people to pick their favorite flavors, which will be in grocery stores at the end of the year.

So, what are the "Texas-churned" flavors? How about Bar-B-Que Peach and Bourbon Pecan Pie. Actually, both sound pretty awesome.

One has to also wonder if Ben & Jerry, who are notorious liberals, are enjoying sticking it to Texas company Blue Bell. When it comes to customers, I'm sure they could care less if you've voted Red or Blue.

But how about some REAL Texas flavors like "Queso Con Cream" or "Beef N' Butter"? Hmmm, maybe not. I better not quit my day job.
