The past several months have been quite challenging for Rodney Atkins, as he continues to go through a highly-publicized divorce with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Tammy Jo. Atkins filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage following a late-night argument which ended on a very sour note — with Atkins getting arrested. His wife made serious allegations against him, claiming domestic abuse, though the singer has since been cleared of all charges.
Just when you thought Zac Brown couldn’t add any more work to his plate, he does. Brown and his indie record label, Southern Ground Artists, have created Vol. 2 of their fan-favorite album collection, featuring the amazing talents that come out of the label, including, of course, Zac Brown Band.
Later this week, Rhett Akins and his famous pals from the music and hunting world will join forces for his 11th annual charity turkey hunt, Country Goes Huntin’. Like the previous 10 years, the event will consist of a three day turkey hunt (March 22-24) in Dothan, Ala. There, pro hunters will pair with country singers/songwriters for a good time and, more importantly, a great cause.

Keith Urban‘s ‘You Gonna Fly’ is in its second week atop the country singles chart. The tune, which was penned by the LoCash Cowboys, as well as country rocker Jaren Johnston, topped both Billboard and Mediabase last week after only 19 weeks on the chart. This week, it spends its second consecutive week at No. 1 on both charts. The victory marks the first time in years that a country song — and Urban — have held down the No. 1 position for multiple weeks on all charts.
