Apple Maps Is Photographing in Lubbock Today

Today might not be the day to go out into the yard in your underwear, as Apple Maps has a vehicle photographing for their iOS app. But if you do, you'll be (somewhat) anonymous:

Apple is driving vehicles around the world to collect data which will be used to improve Apple Maps. Some of this data will be published in future Apple Maps updates.

We are committed to protecting your privacy while collecting this data. For example, we will blur faces and license plates on collected images prior to publication.

Our friend Ashley Wirz snapped an image of the vehicle near Avenue L. A comment on his photo claimed that the Apple Maps vehicles are loading up and setting out from the Affordable Storage at 1585 and University.
