This Friday (12/30) at 7 p.m., Alamo Drafthouse in Lubbock will host a lightsaber vigil in honor of recently departed actress, novelist and fantastic human-in-general Carrie Fisher.

Attendees are encouraged to honor our fallen princess by wearing Star Wars attire and to shine their lightsabers into the night sky. If you do not have a lightsaber, they encourage flashlights or glow sticks to "brighten the sky and say thank you to a woman who inspired us on and off the screen."

The wonderful folks of the West Texas Chapter of the 501st Legion will also be in attendance in full costume.

For more information or to let them know you're coming, you can check out their Facebook event page.
