A Scam That’s Cold as Ice

The BBB of the South Plains and Everything Lubbock have uncovered another online product scam that claims to be based out of Lubbock but isn’t.

DiscountIceChests.com (Please don’t go there!) has been “selling” what they claim to be genuine Yeti coolers. But, after orders have been placed, money was taken from consumers, and emails confirming shipping, nothing arrives.

From complaints to the BBB, the business claims to be at 1500 Broadway, the Wells Fargo Bank building, and they also have a fake phone number with an 806 area code.

Guess what, they aren’t there and never have been according to the manager of the building.

If you bought one of these coolers, call your credit card company (If it has been within 90 days) and dispute the charge.

Don’t fall for a scam like this, always check an unknown company out thoroughly before you purchase any item.
