There is a movement in Colorado to name a mountain peak after the state's favorite son, the late John Denver. Talk about your "rocky mountain high."

According to reports, thousands have signed a petition to have a mountain peak where Denver reportedly wrote the song "Rocky Mountain High" named after hime.

But there's a problem with something called the federal wilderness law that does allow that sort of thing.

Denver was so popular and well liked that the state of Colorado made the song the official state song.

Believe it or not, but some radio stations would not play the song because they thought it was about getting high on drugs.

The song became a Top Ten hit for Denver in 1973.
